Founder, Ron W. Rathbun

In September of 2008, a medical study began at a university in California to measure how practicing Kelee meditation can decrease anxiety, depression and stress. We will continue to research and study how practicing Kelee meditation affects the immune system and nervous system in relation to healing the physiology of the body.

At the age of nineteen Ron W. Rathbun experienced a series of extraordinary events that changed the direction of his life. These events led Ron to a man who would become his teacher, mentor and friend. The form of meditation that Ron was taught by his mentor was stillness of the mind. It was during Ron's early years of study that he became aware of the Kelee.

Ron began teaching meditation in 1985.  He is a unique teacher in that he observes his students while they meditate and gives them feedback on the quality of their meditation and the condition of their Kelee. This is an extremely rare ability and very valuable to his students because their growth and development unfolds with ease, in an accelerated way.

Ron is the author of five books: The Way is Within: A Spiritual Journey; The Silent Miracle: Awakening Your True Spiritual Nature; The Kelee: An Understanding of the Psychology of Spirituality; The Kelee Meditation Practice: The Basic Principles of the Kelee; The Mind and Self-Reflection: A New Way to Read with Your Mind.  His books have been published in Italian, Danish and Chinese.  His books have won awards and he has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine.

Ron is the founder of the Kelee Foundation—a nonprofit organization—that is devoted to helping those that are sincerely seeking self-understanding.  He lives in Oceanside, California with his wife Lavana.  He loves nature and the ocean, especially surfing.
